Journeyman Motor Field Service Technician
Job Description
ACCOUNTABILITY: V.P. of Motor Shop
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific duties include:In-shop
and on-site troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical
equipment. Analyzing equipment failures and repairing
as needed.
SKILLS
AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 5 years experience
as a motor service technician. Proper meters and testing
equipment knowledge required. AC & DC motor and control
knowledge required. Infrared camera, power monitoring
and dynamic balancing and laser alignment experience a
plus
INTER-RELATIONSHIPS:
Contact with administrative staff and management of
the Motor Shop and Human Resource departments in addition
to direct contact with customers.
WORKING
CONDITIONS: Union Shop - Local 595. Periodic travel
to customer facilities required. Vehicle supplied for
troubleshooting. EOE.

Job Description
ACCOUNTABILITY: V.P. of Motor Shop
JOB
SUMMARY: Performs rewinding of various rotating and
stationary equipment.
DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific duties include: Disassembling
and assembling motors. Rewinding Stators, field armatures
and rotors, etc. Taking and recording data. Dipping and
baking. V.P.I.
SKILLS
AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 2 years experience
in related field.
INTER-RELATIONSHIPS:
Contact with administrative staff and management of
the Motor Shop and Human Resource departments in addition
to direct contact with customers.
WORKING
CONDITIONS: Union Shop - Local 595. Local troubleshooting
travel availability a plus. Training programs also available.

SKILLS

experience as a motor mechanic. Machine work and balancing
knowledge a plus.

Motor Shop and Human Resource departments in addition

and repairing damaged mechanical equipment. Cutting and
manufacturing new splines. Alignment and mounting of motors
& related equipment.
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electric motor
machinist. Must have knowledge of lathes, mills and metal
spray equipment. Dynamic balancing experience a plus.
Related trade school certification preferred..
INTER-RELATIONSHIPS:
Contact with administrative staff and management of the

to direct contact with customers.
